Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities at the Macon Housing Authority. You are encouraged to apply for any open position for which you believe you are qualified. We consider our employees to be our most important resource and strive to provide competitive wages and a comprehensive employee benefits package. MHA is an equal opportunity employer and applies the principles of equal opportunity throughout every operational aspect. Also, for the safety and security of its employees and customers, MHA is totally committed to maintaining a drug free work place.
Applications/resumes will be accepted only for Available Positions and only during the timeframe stated in the notice. We do not accept unsolicited applications or resumes, nor do we maintain applications/resumes for future positions. A new application for employment must be completed for future job vacancies.
Only the most qualified applicants will be contacted to proceed with the application process. The process may include, but is not limited to, skills testing, interviewing, reference checking, criminal background checks, motor vehicle reports and, for some positions, a credit history. MHA may use the services of a consumer reporting agency; if denied employment based on information obtained in a report, the candidate will be provided a copy of the report and a written description of his/her rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The successful candidate will receive a written offer of employment from the Executive Director, after which a post-offer drug screen, medical history, and general physical examination will be conducted to confirm the individual’s ability to perform essential functions of the position.
