MHA’s Board of Commissioners recognizes the importance of encouraging students to pursue a career that leads to economic independence and self sufficiency. As a result, since 1986 the Board has awarded over $96,000 in scholarships to graduating high school students in public housing and the Section 8 program.
To qualify for scholarship assistance, applicants must have a minimum GPA (grade point average) of 2.75. In addition to scholarships for college-bound high school seniors, Continuing Education scholarships are also available for students who remain in good standing with a college, technical school, or college credentialed program.
To request an application, contact Karen Middleton, or call 478-752-5097. Applications are mailed out in February and March.
* Scholarship awards are dependent upon funding availability.
