Scholarships

MHA’s Board of Commissioners recognizes the importance of encouraging students to pursue a career that leads to economic independence and self sufficiency. As a result, since 1986 the Board has awarded over $220,050 in scholarships to graduating high school students in public housing and the Section 8 program.

Eligibility

To qualify for scholarship assistance, applicants must reside in Public Housing or be on the Section 8 program. In addition to scholarships for college-bound high school seniors, Continuing Education scholarships are also available for students who remain in good standing with a college, technical school, or college credentialed program.
